Magnetic Reed Switches & Sensors

Standex Electronics produces a broad line of magnetic Reed switches using a unique, highly automated production process that results in a very cost-effective switch with outstanding physical and electrical characteristics. Standex Reed switches, hermetically sealed in nitrogen with Rhodium contact surfaces, are capable of tens of millions of trouble-free switching cycles. Standex proximity and motion sensors are used to determine the relative mechanical position of two separate system components. Standex uses several different technologies in our proximity and motion sensors as dictated by the end-use application. These technologies include magnetic Reed switch, magnetic Hall effect, capacitance and variable-reluctance.

Magnetic Components

Standex Electronics and ATC-Frost manufacture a variety of low-frequency magnetic components for almost any need in 50 / 60 Hz to the 400 Hz range for a variety of applications. Standex Electronics and ATC-Frost also manufacture a variety of high-frequency magnetic components for almost any need from 1 KHz to microwave frequencies for a variety of applications. Standex Electronics is an industry leader in the design and manufacturing of antenna coils used in automotive security, tire monitoring and many other systems as well as insert-molded variable and fixed RF coils for a variety of Radio Frequency applications.

Connector and Lighting Product

Standex Electronics' connector products feature a specialty line of connectors for the hermetic motor industry, the lighting industry, and custom stampings incorporated into other Standex product offerings. Standex specializes in small progressive-die designs and complimentary insert-molding and over-molding of these terminals. Stamping and molding presses and our in-house machine shop serve a wide variety of applications and aid in tailoring custom solutions for your applications.
